QAI and ICC-ES Partnership: Bringing Your Products To Market Faster
Accelerating your ICC-ES Evaluation Report, ICC-ES Plumbing, or Mechanical and Fuel Gas (PMG) Listing
ICC Evaluation Service, LLC (ICC-ES), and QAI Laboratories Inc. have teamed up to offer a coordinated evaluation process to assist manufacturers in getting their building and/or plumbing products to market as quickly and efficiently as possible. By formalizing our relationship with ICC-ES after years of partnering on projects, we can now offer you a way to expedite the ICC-ES evaluation report or PMG Listing process.

Using QAI’s testing and inspection capabilities and ICC-ES technical experts, this program focuses primarily, but not exclusively, on the evaluation of such products as:
- Wall systems and coverings
- Roofing systems and underlayments
- Water-resistive and air barriers
- Insulations

- Plumbing fixtures
- Plumbing fittings
- PVC pipe and pipe fittings

How it works:
- Manufacturers will apply for an ICC-ES Evaluation Report or PMG Listing through QAI.
- ICC-ES, QAI and the manufacturer will work together to determine the project scope and specific testing requirements
- QAI runs the necessary tests to ICC-ES’s requirements and submits a complete data package to ICC-ES.
- ICC-ES evaluates the submitted data package, works with QAI to resolve any outstanding issues, and then issues the ICC-ES Evaluation Report or PMG Listing.
Benefits to Manufacturers:
- QAI will oversee the evaluation process, including: plan development, sampling, testing, quality documentation, inspection, data package and draft report. In short, QAI becomes the single point of contact for the manufacturer.
- ICC-ES is able to issue the Evaluation Report or PMG Listing in a shorter period of time.
- Manufacturers of plumbing products are able to receive dual certification to obtain product recognition in the U.S. and Canada.
- There is an overall time and cost savings, bringing the product to market faster by consolidating expert testing and evaluation services.
