Certification Body - An organization that gives third party written assurance that a product, process or service fulfils specified requirements.
Certification Mark - A protected mark, applied or issued under the rules of a certification system, indicating that confidence is provided that the relevant product, process or service is in conformity with specific standards.
Accreditation - The formal recognition by the Standards Council of Canada (or other recognized body) of a company to operate a certification program on a continuing basis in a specific subject area.
