
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing and Engineering 
QAI Laboratories has now expanded their service
offerings to the electrical industry with the
addition of our new, fully accredited ISO 17025
state of the art EMC testing lab, providing complete
electromagnetic compatibility testing for FCC/IC/CE.
With this capacity QAI now offers the most
comprehensive one stop shop for Electrical approvals
on the West Coast. (Scope of Accreditation)
Pre-Scans
All pre-scans will be performed in our 5m Semi-Anechoic
Chamber. There are many advantages for testing in
Semi-Anechoic Chamber, including accurate data,
repeatable results and controlled environmental
conditions.
Emissions
The final emissions will be
completed at our state of the art 10m Open Air Test Site
(OATS).

As most people know a test lab is nothing without knowledge and this is where QAI really shines with some of the best people in the industry.
Parminder Singh
- Parminder has a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics, Dip T –
Robotics, Dip T – Telecom. Parminder has
specialized in Electromagnetic Emissions compliance
since 2001. Having worked in the engineering
department of Unity Wireless, and at VSM MedTech on the
Magnetoencephalography (MEG) system, a medical imaging
system used to measure the magnetic fields produced by
electrical activity in the brain, as well, in working as
a Test Engineer at National Technical Solutions (NTS),
and for Protocol EMC, his education, skills and
experience make him one of Western Canada’s top experts.
Amandeep
Jathaul - Amandeep
holds bachelors in Electronics and Telecommunications
Engineering and specialized in Electromagnetic Emissions
compliance testing. His technical expertise includes
EMC/radio testing, agency certifications and technical
construction files. He is an expert in the area of
transmitter testing and certifications for US, Canada
and Europe. In addition to EMC experience he has also
worked as Quality Manger for ISO 17025 accredited EMC
laboratory and helps lab sail through accreditation
process.
Jason Stadnik -
Jason is our Electrical Sales Manager and is a member of ASTT. Jason has been providing Electrical Sales
throughout Western Canada for the past 4 years and was
previously a Senior Project Leader that successfully
managed hundreds of projects through to certification.
Jason's previous technical experience gives him a unique
capability to help guide clients through the
certification process and makes him one of the leaders
in this industry.
Lawrence Gibson, P. Eng President - Lawrence has been in the
business for over 27 year and has managed some of the
leading testing and certification agencies in Canada. Mr
Gibson brings his extensive knowledge of domestic and
international approvals to the table along with his
client focused management style.
Ed Hodson
– Ed our Electrical Division Manager is a member ASTT
has been in the product safety business for over fifteen
years. The last six has been in upper management and
engineering as an Operation Manager, Technical Reviewer
and Technical Manager for an SCC and NRTL accredited
laboratory. Ed was also the key contact for a CB Scheme
successful audit for 950, 1010 and 335 series of
standards.
Simon Hodson, AScT - Simon is a graduate of BCIT and has been
working in the Industry as a Test Engineer and Field
Inspector for the last 6 years. He is proficient in many
standards from organizations including UL, CSA, IEC,
ASME, and ASHRAE. He has helped bring a lab into the CB
Scheme level of accreditation and has trained personal
in many standards. Currently he is Lab Supervisor at QAI
Labs and will be expanding its scope of accreditation.
